Overview
Cleveland Heights, Ohio, proudly retains its title as the first suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, and today, continues to strive to be a progressive, dynamic suburb just minutes to University Circle and downtown Cleveland. Cleveland Heights is known for its diverse housing offerings including everything from English cottages to historic, architecturally-inspiring mansions. It is a town very committed to the arts and music and hosts numerous galleries, theaters, and dance companies including the Heights Arts Gallery, Dobama Theatre, Groundworks Dance Theatre, and the Cleveland School of Dance.
Over 46,000 people call this lovely, residential community their home. It is a community of numerous parks, including Cain Park which features an active performing arts center, a large community/recreation center, an olympic-sized ice rink, historic buildings, antique shops, and a whole host of cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, and retail areas. The Coventry Village neighborhood is well-known for its eclectic mix of merchants, entertainment and restaurants, and the annual Coventry Street Arts Fair. The Cedar-Lee District is known for its old and new commercial businesses, the infamous Cedar-Lee Theater (1925), and its culturally rich restaurant row.

Cleveland Heights Schools
The Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District serves both Cleveland Heights and University Heights, and a portion of South Euclid. It is comprised of seven elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school. There is also an early childhood learning center and a school for students with emotional needs. The high school is known for its small school concept in which it is divided into five smaller “communities” within one school to provide students with numerous and varied academic offerings. There are also several private schools located within Cleveland Heights including Beaumont School and Ruffing Montessori School.
