Honey Hut Ice Cream Shoppe in downtown Brecksville Ohio is a favorite among locals and one of personal favorites as well.  Honey is used, not sugar.  The ice cream is simply delicious.  The staff and service are friendly and efficient. The shoppe is impeccably maintained.

The portions are generous and the taste is both unique, light and very refreshing, let alone beyond yummy!

When you walk in, on the right is a huge bulletin board with Polaroid photos of kids (and a few adults) who have successfully eaten “The Destroyer.”  While ice cream is perhaps my biggest (but not only ) weakness, I’m not sure I could eat The Destroyer, but what a fun contest — much better than eating say 30 hot dogs in a minute eh?

Honey Hut Ice Cream Shoppe started by Cleveland Firefighter Frank Page in 1974. Frank made batches of ice cream for his fellow firefighters and the rest is history. It still remains a family affair to this very day.
